Project overview
Overview
An end-to-end Power BI analytics solution built on 150K+ booking records to evaluate operational performance, revenue trends, and lost booking root causes. The dashboard features executive-level KPIs ($51.8M revenue, 93K completed rides) alongside deep-dive diagnostic visuals isolating why 38.2% of total bookings were lost—highlighting that 47.5% of leakage stems from driver cancellations.
The challenge
Uber operational leaders lacked visibility into ride cancellation patterns, revenue leakage channels, and spatial demand bottlenecks, hindering targeted retention strategies for both customers and drivers.
What I did
- Modeled and cleaned a 150K+ row operational dataset covering completed, cancelled, and incomplete bookings.
- Designed an executive KPI home dashboard tracking total revenue ($51.8M), average order value ($560), and ride volume across quarters.
- Engineered dynamic DAX measures to quantify lost booking rates, driver cancellation rates (47.5%), and customer cancellation rates (18.5%).
- Visualized spatial ride distribution across top pickup/drop-off locations and driver/customer ratings.
- Formatted custom dark-mode visual themes for high-contrast presentation and seamless visual navigation.
Results
Results are reported by the freelancer.
- Isolated 38.2% Revenue Leakage: Mapped root causes across 57K lost bookings to pinpoint primary operational friction points.
- Identified Main Cancellation Source: Revealed drivers accounted for 47.5% of lost rides (led by customer issues & personal reasons).
- Optimized Spatial Tracking: Pinpointed high-density demand zones including top pickup points (Khandsa, Barakhamba Rd) and drop-off hubs (Udyog Vihar).
- Interactive Scenario Filtering: Integrated multi-vehicle slicers and quarter/month toggles to enable instant dynamic cross-filtering across all visuals.
